Chairman of Shomolu Local Government, Hon. Hammed Salawu, has called on residents to come out en masse and participate in the ongoing local government election.
Speaking shortly after casting his vote at his polling unit, Salawu expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the exercise so far.
He noted that according to reports from his monitoring team, the voting process has remained orderly across various polling units in the area.
Salawu commended the electorate for their calm disposition and encouraged more residents to seize the opportunity to perform their civic responsibility peacefully and lawfully.
