The Photojournalists Association of Nigeria (PJAN), Lagos State Chapter, has condoled with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council, over the passing of its former Secretary, Comrade Alfred Odifa.
In a condolence message jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Bolaji Olasunkanmi, and Secretary, Comrade Mayor Kazeem Bakenne, on behalf of the entire members of PJAN, the association expressed deep sadness over the demise of Comrade Odifa.
Olasunkanmi described his death as a painful loss to the journalism family in Lagos, noting that while the association takes solace in God as the giver and taker of life, his contributions to the development of photojournalism and the journalism profession will remain indelible.
He prayed that God grants the entire Lagos NUJ Council and the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, adding that the association will greatly miss his elderly counsel.
