The National Orientation Agency of Nigeria has selected Dayo Adedayo, a prominent Nigerian photographer and author as its “Nigerian of the Week” for his relentless efforts at promoting Nigeria and her tourism potentials through his works. The announcement was made on the agency’s X (formerly Twitter) account, @NOA_Nigeria.
NOA is the body tasked with communicating government policy, staying abreast of public opinion, and promoting patriotism, national unity, and development of Nigerian society.
Dayo Adedayo is an independent documentary photographer and cultural anthropologist, renowned for his in-depth visual storytelling of Nigeria. His work has played a pivotal role in putting Nigeria on the global stage. With extensive travels across the country, captured and documented over four million beautiful pictures in Nigeria, documenting nature, monuments and people, the
Inspiring And Captivating Moments. Without leaving out the display of his work in the Nigeria international passport.

Adedayo who hails from Ogun state in Nigeria, reflects on the highlights of his career, saying: “The high points are seeing some of the most beautiful places in Nigeria: Sungbo Eredo, the burial site of the Queen of Sheba in Oke-Eri, Ogun State; Obudu Mountain Range; Mambilla Plateau; Riyom Rock; Damasak Sand Dunes; Awhum Cave; Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library; Ogbunike Cave; Ebomi Lake; sunrise at Yankari Game Reserve; the boat used by Bishop Ajayi Crowther from Sierra Leone to Bonny; St. Stephen’s Cathedral Church, Grand Bonny, consecrated on 24 January 1889, with the Bishop’s throne still standing; and many other stunning locations. I now have over four million images of Nigeria in my archives.”
