The Iyalọ́jà General of Nigeria, Chief (Mrs) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has called on women to participate actively in the ongoing local government election.
Speaking at the Alausa Polling Unit after monitoring the process, Tinubu-Ojo encouraged women to turn out en masse to cast their votes, emphasizing the importance of women’s representation in politics.
She noted that for women to have a strong voice in governance and decision-making, they must show up at the polls and support candidates who will advocate for their interests at the grassroots level.
