As part of activities to make this year’s World Photography Day a memorable one, the Photojournalists Association of Nigeria has announced a ‘creme de la creme’ of experts in the field of photography on diverse areas to share their experience, and show the way forward on how to practice and maximize the benefits in the profession maximally.
The upcoming World Photography Day event, is taking place on August 19, 2024 with the global theme: “AN ENTIRE DAY” The World Photography Day event offers a unique platform for photographers and photography enthusiasts to come together, exchange ideas, and celebrate the art and craft of photography.
This exciting event will have as the father of the day, the Former governor of Ogun State and Patron of Photojournalists Association of Nigeria (PJAN), His Excellency Chief Olusegun Osoba and will feature a lineup of renowned photographers and industry experts, offering valuable insights and perspectives on the art and business of photography.
The esteemed speakers for this event include Lagos State Commissioner for information and strategy, Hon. Gbenga Omotoso; Commissioner for Tourism, Art and Culture, Hon. Toke Benson Awoyinka; An Artificial Intelligence expert, Dr. Seyi Akindehinde; An intellectual Property Law expert, Amosa Shukurat;

AKEREDOLU OLUSOLA:
Olusola has been a lecturer of photography and Graphic Design for over thirty years. He ventured into photography while working at the Centre for Management Development at Shangisha, Lagos.He worked in analogue photography even in panchromatic processing under Mr. Frank Ahabue – a renowned photographer. He went further to work with so many advertising and publishing companies. He left the country after his studies at Yabatech for the University of Missouri, Columbia for bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He has traveled through the world capturing images. He has attended the Berlin Film and Cultural Festival. He has done several exhibitions including publishing two books on photography for beginners
He mentors photographers. He has worked on many educational platforms like WAEC, NBTE, NUC for curriculum and standard setting. He has been Dean of faculty, at the School of Technical Education with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka
HOD Graphic Design, HOD Art Education, and presently, the HOD of Photography at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.He mentors photographers. He is a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
PRINCE ADEMOLA OLUKAYODE GBOSIBO:
Aremo Ademola Gbosibo is the Governor of Lagos State Professional Photographers’ Association of Nigeria (LASPPAN), and the Founding Proprietor – LASPPAN Academy.
He is also the National President of Nigeria Professional Photographers and Videographers Association (NPPVA). He obtained Master of Arts (M.A.) Literature from the University of Ibadan and
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.),
Ogun State University.
He is multi skilled and duly certified in several disciplines across his chosen profession. He has invested over 4 decades in Photography, both as a hobbyist and a core professional. He’s deeply rooted in Literary Research,
Training and Documentation with practical skills in
Publishing / Publication Design and Graphics, He has spent years practicing professional Resin Art. ICT Development with specific emphasis on Web Design and Development, Digital Media Processes and Online Marketing. He is the MD / CEO ofArtful Lens Pictures, a Digital Imaging company. Prince Ademola engages in private and Group Tutorials, Training and Documentation, Commercial Printing and Publishing.
He posseses Advanced Diploma in Digital Media and has vast knowledge in Web Design, 2D / 3D VIDEO Animation & Editing, Multi media imaging and Photo finish .
SEYI BODY LAWSON:
Mr. Lawson is a film director, cinematographer, drone pilot and one of Nigeria’s foremost photographers with over 30 years experience. He majors in architectural, aerial, documentary, landscape, wedding, portraiture and food photography with over two hundred and fifty celebrity weddings to his name.He has a Bsc. Estate management from UNILAG and a Diploma in Filmmaking from the prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA), New York.
He is the Creative Director of BODY LAWSON Ltd. a full-fledged Photography, Audio and Visuals Company. Owning state of the art, photo, audio – visual studio.His images have adorned many magazines both local and international. He has shown his works at several exhibitions.He has worked on numerous projects for numerous clients, corporate organizations and multinationals. He is the founder of BODY LAWSON SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
He has been instrumental in the growth of photography in Nigeria, teaching and mentoring several notable photographers.His stunning aerial images of Lagos have inspired many to appreciate the beauty of Lagos, promoting its tourism potentials. He is the founder and head curator of www.naijaphotostock.com an online photography and video stock website, that leases and sells stock images and videos.
OLUSEYI AKINDEINDE:
Mr. Akindeinde is the Founder of HYPERSPACE Lagos, Nigeria, a Web3, blockchain, artificial intelligence and software company that specializes in technologies for the forthcoming industrial revolution.
He has over two decades of expertise in the technology and information security sectors. He serves as an advisor to the Nigerian eFraud Forum (NeFF), a broad-based initiative by the CBN. He has a strong passion for establishing and developing tech Startups. He regularly provides enlightening presentations on current cyber security issues to the National Assembly, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA).
Oluseyi Akindeinde holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos. He believes that by leveraging Web3, we provide innovative and forward-looking solutions that align with the latest trends and advancements in the digital world.

Amosa is a seasoned Intellectual Property Consultant with a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from the prestigious African University Zimbabwe, a programme co – established with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Government of Japan, a Bachelor’s degree from the Fed. University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
She has had extensive training and certifications in various aspects of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, industrial design, patents, and a specialized training in web design and digital multimedia from renowned institutions such as WIPO, Harvard Law School, etc.
She is the founder of “DintangibleNugget”, a pioneering initiative dedicated to promoting Intellectual Property education and awareness.
As an expert in intellectual property field, she holds appointments at Julian Imam Intellectual Property and Creative consult (JIIPC), Oshodi, etc.
